"What I enjoy most about being a physician is the opportunities it provides to connect with people and make a positive impact on their health”

Susan Alt, MD
Physician
Dr. Susan Alt has been a devoted physician since graduating in 1999 with honors from The University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine. It was there that she received The American Medical Women’s Associate Award for Scholastic Achievement and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national honor society for medicine. Following the completion of her Internal Medicine residency at The University of California, San Francisco, she returned to Chicago to practice and teach medicine at the University of Chicago before joining Northwestern Medicine where she earned an Excellence in Teaching award. She then transitioned to Northwestern’s Executive Health, a concierge executive practice, which afforded her the ability to spend more time with her patients and individualize care.
She is thrilled to partner with Andersonville Internal Medicine and bring this personalized care model to the north Chicago and Evanston communities. Her clinical interests include preventative and lifestyle medicine, disease management and women’s health.
Dr. Alt lives with her husband and family in Wilmette. She loves mystery novels, long walks with friends and adventurous bike treks with her family.
