"My philosophy as a physician is to make medicine personal. I take the time to get to know my patients, which enables me to be a guide helping them to navigate the many factors that affect their health”

Lorrie Elliott, MD, FACP
Physician
Dr Elliott is an accomplished physician who is excited to join AIM. After graduating from the University of Michigan with High Honors and with Distinction, she attended Rush University. There, she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society and received the Glasgow Award, presented to the female student graduating first in the class. Dr Elliott completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Chicago where she was subsequently a faculty member. Most recently, Dr. Elliott practiced at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine where she helped develop and lead the Northwestern Executive Health program, providing clinical and administrative leadership of the executive health and concierge medicine program.
Dr. Elliott was drawn to AIM because she believes that both doctors and patients want a long-term and more accessible medical relationship that gives both parties the time to discuss their concerns. She recognizes that a trusted partnership is essential for achieving health goals, focusing on prevention, and keeping up to date on the latest developments in health and wellness. As a practitioner of evidence-based medicine, Dr. Elliott enjoys discussing the research behind recommendations in order to ensure patients make informed choices about their health.
Dr. Elliott lives in Wicker Park with her husband Marcus. They have a son and a daughter in college. She loves trying new restaurants, cooking for friends and family, gardening, biking, global travel, and is a voracious reader who enjoys swapping book recommendations with her patients.
